About us

We are an Australian/Tanzanian family company established in 2006.

Erica, originally from Australia, moved to Tanzania permanently in 2007 after falling in love with the country while on safari in 2005.

Erica’s daughter Fiona, moved to Tanzania in 2006, married Michael in 2007 and they have two beautiful daughters, Ariana and Safiya.  Michael is Tanzanian and has vast experience in the Tourism Industry.  Ahadi Lodge is situated in Arusha, Tanzania, where the Antrobus/Musa Families reside.

Arusha is the Gateway to the Northern National Parks of Tanzania such as Tarangire, Manyara, Ngorongro Crater and the famous Serengeti.

The lodge is located in a non-light burrow in the little authentic African Village of Morovian, about 150 metres from the Moshi/Nairobi Road, approximately 3 km from Arusha CBD – refer to the map in “where to find us” for the exact location.

Our logo

The question “how did you choose the logo for AHADI LODGE” has been asked by many of our guests and fellow Tour Operators.  We, the Directors, wanted our logo to depict the real “Africa” – hence the choice of the Maasai.  The “sunrise” heralds the dawn of a new day and in many ways, it is the “promise” of what this day has to unfold for each of us.  To portray the real “Africa”, we chose warm earthy tones - these also reflect the “warm” welcome afforded all who travel to Africa by the African people.  After agreeing on these criteria, we were then challanged to find a name for the Lodge which would embrace all of the above – hence, the name - “AHADI” was a unanimous choice and as previously quoted, means “PROMISE.”  Hopefully this explanation has enlightened the curiosity of those who sought to know the origin of our logo.
